How Life Coaching is Different to Counselling

Life coaching and counselling both offer valuable support, but they serve different purposes. Counselling often focuses on understanding and healing past experiences, emotional patterns, and trauma, whereas life coaching is more future-focused, helping you move forward with clarity, direction, and practical action.

Life Coaching

Life coaching offers a supportive, forward-focused space to help you gain clarity, set meaningful goals, and take intentional steps toward the life you want to create. As an accredited life coach, (please bold) I work alongside you to explore what feels stuck or unclear and to develop practical strategies for change, growth, and direction.

Rather than exploring the past in depth, coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go next. It is action-oriented and designed to support you in making tangible progress in your life.

Life coaching can support you in areas such as life direction and purpose, career transitions, confidence building, boundaries, motivation, decision-making, and navigating life changes.

It is particularly helpful when you feel stuck, overwhelmed by choices, or ready for change but unsure of the next step.

This is a collaborative process designed to help you clarify what matters most and create achievable steps toward meaningful, sustainable change.
